What an amazing surprise your package was! I received it when I returned home from visiting my daughter in Dallas. She is not well, and asked me to come over for the
many tests and x-rays she needed. I am looking forward to reading all the magazines that you sent. Thank you for the pictures and the Tsuru origami directions. Right now, our Palo Verde
trees are in full bloom, but I don’t know how to attach a picture, so I will try to get some to send.This is as good as our weather gets - 80’s. From now until November, it
will be 90 - 110. No humidity - 10% - but still
uncomfortably hot. I did enjoy my time in Japan and was sorry that it was such a short time. From what I saw, it is a beautiful and charming country.Talking with you on the bus
was a special treat, and my friend is impressed that I now have a penpal from Japan. Do you understand “penpal”? It just means someone to write to.
Sadly, I doubt that I will ever get back. Between my daughter’s illness and my age - I will be 80 years old in January, I will be staying close to home, but we can write, and
I will connect with your blog.
Thank you again for providing a very bright spot in an otherwise bleak week as I returned home knowing my daughter will not recover soon.
