Japanese Love Hot Springs
Violent smoke is going up from volcanic activity at Mount Hakone in Owakudani, and although small, many earthquakes have occurred. The entrance to Owakudani is regulated for such volcanic activity, but the tourists who visit Hakone are greatly troubled by earthquakes. The hotels of Hakone-onsen are really worrying and those who do maintenance checks of the associated facilities of the hot spring can not go near the volcanic activity, which is the source of Hakone hot springs. Hakone Onsen is a gathering of many hot springs in Hakone-machi, Ashigara-gun, Kanagawa Prefecture. Hakone Onsen is a famous hot spring eminent in Japan which is located in Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park. It is said to be 7-Hakone- pools or 8, 17 or 20 and there are many good hot springs like Yumoto Onsen, Ashino-yu, Gora, Sengokubara, etc. Lots of foreigners visit as well as Japanese. Fortunately, when the volcano isn’t erupting, many tourists visit Hakone and enjoy hot spring baths.
A place changes; in Kobe, supporter appeared at Minatoyama Onsen ( Minatoyamacho, Hyogo-ku, Kobe) when its continuation was in question, but finally it is decided. Many enthusiastic visitors of the hot spring thronged for the reopening early in morning on May 14. Minatoyama Onsen probably existed in the Heian Era and there is the legend that the samurai took a bath there such as court noble, Kuge, of Heike or Kiyomori Taira (1118-1182) the head of Heike family. This was near the capital in Fukuhara, Kobe. Also there is the famous Arima Onsen hot spring near Kobe. The father of the Imperial adviser Taiko Hideyoshi Toyotomi ( 1537〜1568) was said to have often visited this hot spring. The gold hot spring, Kinsen, and the hot spring called Ginsen are always loved by many citizens. Japan has been tormented by volcanoes from the old days, also by the fear of volcanoes and earthquakes. However, Japanese are blessed by hot springs and at the same time, they have used them well and enjoyed them from the old days. Japan is a nation that is fond of hot springs,
When I look back, I also have enjoyed hot springs in many places though I do not like them so much. Awara, Katayamazu, Yamashiro and Wakura are in the Hokuriku area. Arima, Kinosaki and Shirahama are in the Kinki area. Kirishima, Beppu, Yufuin and Ureshino are in the Kyushu area, and the list goes on. Oh yes, there really are many nice hot springs in western Japan. When I have enjoyed hot springs, I had never thought of explosions of these volcanoes. I feel terrible about the news of the
explosion of the recent big volcano.
Will Mount Fuji erupt, too ?…Is it true ? But still Japanese love hot springs and dislike volcanoes ! Don't you think so ?

聖書の言葉 from The Bible
